Cate Platt

I am a Clinical Exercise Physiologist as well as a sports and remedial massage therapist. My aim is to improve physical well-being and movement through massage and rehabilitative exercise.

I work with orthopedic conditions, treating injuries of the joints and muscles, as well as post-surgery rehabilitation. I use specific assessments and exercises to balance muscle strengths and weaknesses and can refer on to our wonderful physio when needed.

I also take private Pilates sessions and run classes throughout the week.

Leonie Douglas

I joined the team as a remedial and sports massage therapist. I was living in Australia and chose to do remedial and sports massage as a professional modality, completing my Diploma of Remedial Massage at Endeavour College of Natural Health, Perth WA April 2012. Since choosing this pathway I’ve been working with a wide range of musculoskeletal dysfunction, pain, injuries and associated conditions.

I have over five years experience and completed additional training in Myotherapy at Melbourne Institute of Massage and Myotherapy, VIC May 2016. I'm a registered massage therapist here in NZ and I’ve been back living here since Dec 2016. In my spare time I enjoy exploring the outdoors and I'm passionate about continued professional development.

I ended up in New Zealand after 3 years traveling the world by bicycle whilst I extended my knowledge to Swedish and Thai massages. I am from France and have a background of physiotherapy, specializing in sport rehabilitation and back injuries. In addition to my background, the practice of regular activities and yoga give me a good overview of the body’s needs.
